Secure Your Hosting Account with Two-Factor Authentication

Account security protects domains, websites, email, and billing data. Start with the client area and control panel, then secure every administrator account inside your applications.

Before you begin

Sign in through the official client area and keep account-specific values from your activation email available. Make a backup before changing production data or configuration.

Steps

  1. Use unique generated passwords: Store them in a reputable password manager; never reuse an email or social-media password.
  2. Enable two-factor authentication: Use an authenticator app or hardware key when offered. Verify a code before ending the setup session.
  3. Store recovery codes safely: Keep them offline or in a protected vault separate from the device used for authentication.
  4. Review access: Remove old contacts and application administrators, and give each person only the permissions they need.
  5. Protect the registered email: Enable 2FA there too, because password resets and security notices depend on it.
  6. Respond to suspicious activity: Change passwords from a trusted device, revoke sessions, scan endpoints, and contact support from the registered account.

Important notes

  • Support should never ask for your password or authenticator code.
  • Shared logins make auditing and safe offboarding difficult; create individual users where supported.

When to contact support

Contact support if the documented controls are unavailable, the service reports an account-level restriction, or the issue continues after these checks. Include the affected domain or service, the exact error, a timestamp with timezone, and the steps already tried. Never include passwords, one-time codes, private keys, or complete payment details.
